1950s 1960s Vintage Imperial Peach Wool & Angora Blend Beaded Cardigan Sweater - Sm to Md

$79.00

Adorable and classic - great for that rockabilly lover! The classic peachy sweater features creamy faux pearl and white beads in an intricate floral design. Great for the whole year, but it really would make a great piece for the holidays! Fiber is a lambswool and angora blend, plus the body is lined. The piece buttons in the front. Label is for Imperial. It would likely best fit a modern Small or Medium depending on how you like your sweaters to fit. There is some give to the piece, but given the lining, there is only so much. For reference model is modern size 4/6 and dress form is a modern Medium.

Measurements :

  • Bust: 37 inches

  • Hem: 31 inches

  • Length: 21 inches from back of collar, down

  • Sleeve Length: 20.5 inches from top of sleeve, down

Good Vintage Condition - Some overall wear to the piece. There are some small wear spots as well as a few small repairs from the previous owner done in a thread of slightly different colors than the knit. Some marks and areas of discoloration to the piece, which unfortunately was next to impossible to capture on camera. Some wear to the inner lining. Overall the beads looks to be in good shape. Its hard to tell for certain, maybe a few are missing, some are slightly loose, but nothing that seems super obvious or worrisome. Wear to the buttons. While this is how it was made, I just want to point out that it is lined in a pastel pink, even though the sweater color is peach.

Please note that for some reason the photos of the close ups would not provide the true color of the garment, to my eyes the color of the piece looks most like what is shown in the full body images.

All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
