Simple and elegant - this stunning 1940s (possibly LATE 30s) day dress is the loveliest shade of burgundy! With its classic silhouette, this dress is elevated even more with stunning flutter sleeves. It even has the original belt! Fabric feels like a type of crepe (possibly rayon) and has a teeny bit of give. There are no tags to indicate maker. The piece buttons in the front in a very unique way (off set, but intentional) and it zips at the side with a metal Talon zipper (the zipper likely dates to the 40s, possibly 30s). Would likely best fit a modern Small, but please see measurements. The dress is still a pullover piece, so keep this in mind for sizing. Model is a modern 4/6 for reference.

Bust: 35 inches
Waist: 27 inches
Hips: 36 inches
Length: 42 inches from back of collar, down
Sleeve Length: 8 inches from top of shoulder, down to edge
Good vintage condition - Some overall wear to the dress. There are some areas of faint discoloration and marks that did not come out with cleaning throughout the piece- the most obvious to me was at the shoulders. A few small pulls to the fabric in places. Some marks and wear to the belt as well - belt is somewhat stiff and uneven in places and edges are worn at buckle. Wear to inner seam allotments and some loose threads that do not impact wear.
