1930s 1940s Vintage Navy Blue Taffeta Front Zip Party Dress with Pockets and Lace Flounce Sleeves- Sm to Md
This lovely dress (feels and sounds like taffeta) is such an exquisite piece. Great for a go to day dress, but also easy to dress up for a night out. The dress zips up the front with an oh so sexy little zipper. The detailing at the collar and sleeve demonstrate that this is truly a unique little gem. Plus, it has POCKETS!!! The lace detailing at the sleeves is just so chic - but if you prefer, it looks like it could also be removed. The original shoulder and underarm pads are inside the piece still- but they too could be removed. No tags inside garment - likely from the late 30s or early 40s. It would likely best fit between a small and medium, but please see measurements! For reference model is modern size 4/6 and dress form is a modern Medium.

Good vintage condition - Expected overall wear to fabric, especially for its age. It does wrinkle easily so hang up as soon as receiving! There are a few pulls at the seams and some small holes and wear spots in the piece, especially along the hem where the hemming stitches are. One small “hole” or seam pull on shoulder and near the waist. Some subtle color fade/discoloration to the piece that was very very difficult to photograph - sorry! The lace detailing in the sleeve looks like a post-market add on by the original owner (though still very lovely!) and has some wear/discoloration. You will likely want to remove the underarm pads, but I have kept them in case they don’t bother you. Some marks and “scratches” (this word really sounds worse than it is!!!- see last photo).
