A lovely piece that would make a spectacular study or possibly even a museum/re-work piece. The dress is overall grey in color but with a lovely print featuring mostly plants in lovely pink, blue, and green colors. I just love the simplicity of the silhouette and the added tiny piece of velvet on the bodice. Partial zips up the side with a metal Talon zipper and a few buttons at the back of the neck. That means this piece is a pullover piece. Fabric feels like a type of thin crepe, probably silk crepe. There is a tad bit of give to the fabric but it is VERY VERY delicate. There is no label to the piece, so it may be home made. I do believe its from the 30s given the style of both the dress and the Talon zipper. Would likely best fit a modern Extra Small - maybe a Small- but given that its a pull over, please see measurements. Dress form is a modern Extra Small for reference.

Approximate Measurements :
Bust: 33 inches, but about 34 inches accounting for darting
Waist: 25.5 inches, about 26 inches pulled taught
Hips: 34 inches, about 35 inches pulled taught
Length: 47 inches from back of neck, down
Sleeve Length: 11 inches
Fair vintage condition - Beautiful and this piece would make a good study piece, possibly even a good piece for a museum or to use to rework into something else. But it is NOT wearable. Sadly the fabric of the garment is shattering in a number of areas. I have demonstrated the most obvious shattering/rips to my eyes in the photos. I would take this as a sign that the dress is VERY VERY delicate overall. Additionally there are multiple areas of color fading/some color bleed to the pattern and fabric as well as discoloration and marks to the piece. In the dress form photos I think you can see the most obvious of discoloration and yellowing, to me it was on the back and the underarms. There are also numerous areas where there have been past mends to the piece. One button is missing and one of the button loops is detached. Wear to the velvet too. Wear to some seams. Again a lot of wear just overall to the piece and sold as is, as found.
All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment.
