1930s Vintage Unique Yellow Painted Leather Wooden Heels - Size 3

$39.00

These incredible 1930s or possibly early 1940s shoes are just so unique! They would make for a very fun reference or display item! They feature a lovely wooden heel and base with a lovely yellow top - I would guess that the yellow portion is just painted leather as the underside look like leather, but I am not certain. These shoes are labeled size "3" in pen on the inside of the shoes. Heels are about 3 inches high and about 8.5 inches long from end of toes to heel. They measure about 2.85 inches across at the balls of the feet. There is no label. The bottom has had brand new treads put on and is labeled good year - this is not part of the original shoe!! “New” old stock laces put on as well.

Fair vintage condition - There is some overall wear to the shoes. They may possibly be wearable, but if attempted I would recommend extreme care. They would still make good reference material or great display pieces though! It appears that the yellow portion was painted in the past - the paint is old and dry, it is chipped, scuffed, marked up, and worn in many places. Wear overall to this material. The paint on the wooden base has the same issues. Additionally the wooden base has some chunks missing (notably where one’s heels would go). There is also some scratches and what appears to be a past repair to a crack or break in the heel of one shoe (it has been glued by a prior owner now and seems ok). Some of the rivets that hold the yellow portion to the base are missing, others are rusty. As mentioned above, the bottom has had brand new treads put on and is labeled good year - this is not part of the original shoe!! “New” old stock laces put on as well. Again sold as is, as found.

Wearing vintage shoes is so much fun as you can never find shoes like these now days, BUT please take note that this also causes wear and damage. As such vintage shoes will ALWAYS need constant maintenance (glue, re-sole, etc.) from a professional cobbler to keep them in working order.

All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
