A coveted 1950s ribbon dress in a lovely almost coral-pink tone!! This lovely coral-pink ribbon dress was expertly made into a gorgeous textured and pattern, making the dress hug the body in all the right places. Dress is a pull over, but it does have a side metal zipper that says “conmatic”, dating the piece likely to the 1950s. There is no tag in the dress to indicate maker. There is some slight give, given how the garment is constructed. That being said I believe it would best fit a modern Extra small to possibly a Small but please see measurements. Model is modern size 4/6 and it did feel a bit tight overall but the torso felt long, and as such it could not blouse properly. It seemed to fit a lot better on the dress form (a modern XS) where the garment was able to blouse, which I believe is what the intended look was meant to be.

Dress Measurements:
Bust: 32 inches (there is some give here)
Waist: 26 inches (there is no give here)
Hips: 32 inches (there is some give here)
Length: 46 inches
Good vintage condition - Some overall wear to dress. You can see that the way the ribbon lays, there are some gaps. Its meant to be this way, but I just want to highlight this. Most of this is minor and it is actually part of how this dress is meant to look, but I feel that for the larger gaps wearing a slip of the same color should do the trick at masking it! A few places where there are minor pulls to the ribbon found. A few loose threads as well, but they do not seem to impact wear. There are some marks/spots to the piece that did not come out with dry cleaning. There is also some color fade/ discoloration to the piece. To my eye, this was most notable at the shoulders and hem. It was also difficult to capture on camera, but I did the best I could. Some wear to zipper, especially the paint on it - it still seems to function just fine though! Dress also features belt loops, but no belt.
All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment.
