RARE 1940s 1950s Vintage Famous Gale for Sears Pale Pink Cotton Fan Laced Girdle - Md
A lovely, classic pale pink fan laced girdle. The piece closes at the side with hook and eye closures and then is further secured with the laced fan and strap combination across the body. Nice firm structure with internal boning. Fabric content feels like cotton. Label is “Famous Gale” for Sears, Roebuck and Co. There is no size tag given. PLEASE see measurements below as I am not entirely sure how one sizes girdles! Apologies. Flat measurements are pictured. Dress form is modern Medium for reference and it seemed to fit fine across the midline, but was a teeny loose across the top (natural waist measurement of dress form is 29 for reference). Could likely best fit a medium based on measurements and dress form, but again please check your own measurements.

Length (top to bottom): 10 inches
Good vintage condition- The piece has some overall wear. There are some faint number marks stamped onto the inside that may be its size, but they are so faint I cannot quite make them out. The label tag has a partial rip in it. There are some marks/spots as well as faint discoloration/yellowing found throughout the piece, but the most obvious is a little cluster of rust marks I could not get out on the back and on the strap. There are hooks for garter straps, but no actual garters present. Some loose threads and pilling that should not impact wear. The boning feels like its in good shape! Some wear/minor tarnish to metal pieces.
