1940s 1950s Vintage French Knit Blue Zephyr Wool Chenille Pullover Sweater - Md to Lg
Adorable and classic - great for vintage knit collectors! This great vintage pullover sweater is in a great blue color! I would say its almost a cerulean blue, with a hint more of a grey tone. The piece is a pullover, but it does have a back metal zipper. Knit is a zephyr wool chenille and has some give. Label is for French Knitwear Co . It would likely best fit a modern Medium or possibly a Large, depending on how you like your sweaters. Measurements provided are of the garment NOT stretched. For reference model is modern size 4/6.

Hem: 28 inches
Length: 19.5 inches
Sleeve Length: about 20 inches (there is no seam to measure from)
Good to fair Vintage Condition - Presents well and is functionally wearable, but the sweater has some noticeable color fade at the back , making it a good candidate for an over dye! Otherwise, there is some overall wear to the piece. Some pilling in places but with the nubby texture its not supper obvious. There is some discoloration to the inside at the zipper as well as the collar and very faint at the underarms - so faint it didn’t really show up on camera. I found one prior mend at one seam. Elastic inside functions, but seems like the stitching is coming undone. I left it as is so it would be easier to remove if you so choose as I know most people prefer these without the elastic. It does still function fine though for now as is. Belt loops, but no belt.
