UNIQUE 1940s 1950s Vintage Hattie Carnegie for I.Magnin Olive Green Wool Winter Hat or Headpiece

$89.00

This stunning and unique olive green headpiece would make a great addition to any vintage hat collectors collection. The piece is comprised of what feels like mohair wool - or some other sort of fuzzy wool - and is done in a sort of turban like style. The piece seems to act almost like a skull cap or headpiece that sort of sits upon the head. You may need to pin this to keep it on ones head securely. Label is Hattie Carnegie for I.Magnin and co.! Style to me looks more 1950s, but the label looks more like those found in the 1940s hats from this brand.

Across (from ear to ear not pulled): about 7 inches - I think its meant to fit upon the head like a skull cap almost.

Good Vintage Condition - Some overall wear to the piece. There is some overall wear to the fuzz of the piece, especially the the edges and sometimes it doesn’t all face the same direction. Some faint marks and spots to the piece in places. Some slight discoloration - particularly of the back of the bow, which is generally not the obvious when its worn.

All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
