1940s 1950s Vintage Royal Miss Blue and White Plaid Cotton Shirt Waist Dress - XL to 1X
A lovely vintage cotton front button day dress. The light blue and white Plaid makes this a great piece for summertime. The dress features a lovely scallop edging and even has one pocket! The fabric feels like cotton and is very light weight - so much so you may want to wear a slip underneath. The piece buttons partially in the front and features a snap at the waist. There are belt loops, but unfortunately the original belt is missing. Label is for Royal Miss and is likely from the late 40s or 50s. It would likely best fit a modern Extra Large or 1X, but please see measurements. Dress form is modern Medium for reference.

Waist: 38 inches
Hips: 46 inches
Length: 44 inches from shoulder, down
Sleeve Length: about 5 inches as there are no seam to measure from
Good vintage condition- Overall expected wear to piece. A few small marks that did not come out with cleaning. A few loose threads here and there, including at the button holes - but none of this seems to impact wear at all. Wear to the inner seam allotments. There are a few small pulls to the fabric as well. There are belt loops but no belt. This is not a flaw, but the cuff at the sleeves are only partial -this is weird, but how the garment was made (see up close). Belt panel likes to flop a bit sometimes.
