A STUNNING vintage 1940s coral colored blouse and skirt set. Sets from the 1940s are hard to find and this color will surely win you over! The blouse is collared with a cute little chest pocket. It buttons in the front. The skirt buttons at the side. The lovely fabric is lighter weight and feels to me very much like gabardine with a slight luster or sheen to it, but its hard to say for certain without a content tag. The label is for Debby Lou with a vintage size tag of 18. I would say the whole set would best fit a modern Medium as the top is meant to have a bloused look, typical of the 1940s. Please see measurement. For reference model is modern women’s size 4/6 and the dress form is a modern medium.

Bust: about 42 inches BUT I believe its meant to fit blousy - model is 34b for reference.
Waist: 36 inches
Hem: 40 inches
Length: 22.5 inches (from back of neck, down)
Sleeve Length: about 11 inches (from top of sleeve, down)
Measurements of Skirt :
Hips : 38 inches
Length: 25.5 inches
Good vintage condition - Some overall wear to the piece. Some slight fuzzing to the fabric in places. There are numerous spots and marks to both pieces that did not come out with repeated cleaning and spot treatment - priced accordingly. A lot of the marks were very hard to capture with camera because of the luster of the fabric but they are present and I did try my best with the pictures. I think the luster of the fabric makes it less obvious in person too, depending on the way the light hits it - thankfully. But again, marks are still very much present. There is also some wear to seam allotments inside as well as slightly to seams outside the pieces, though none of this is major or looks to impact wear at all. Some small loose threads here and there. Some small pulls and teeny pin holes in places. Some slight wear to the buttons and button holes. Buttons on blouse do not match buttons on skirt. Fabric does like to wrinkle and you may need to fix the pleats with ironing or steaming after shipment.
