Absolute bombshell dress from the late 50s or early 60s. The vivid deep colors of blues and purples in this floral printed dress really stand out. The overall silhouette is just stunning and classic. Zips up the back with a metal zipper. Feels like a silk or possibly silk blend. It’s light weight. It even has a matching tie belt. There are no maker tags, but another tag with random numbers and letters. All the dresses from this individual had this type of tag and I was told they were custom made pieces for her when she lived over seas in the 50s and 60s - the tag is likely from that dress makers shop. Would likely best fit an Extra Small, possibly a Small. For reference, model is modern size 4/6 and it was sadly just a tad too tight in the waist.

Measurements :
Bust: about 35 inches when accounting for the darting. For reference model is a 34b for reference and is wearing a bullet bra in the photos, which seemed to work well.
Waist: 24 inches
Hips: 37 inches
Length: 39 inches from top of shoulder, down
Good vintage condition - Some overall wear to item. The biggest issue I noticed is that there is a tiny bit of gathering or wrinkling or bunching at the back zipper seam. It didn’t seem too apparent when the piece was on. But this did not steam out well. The piece did originally have mothball smell, but after multiple treatments I cannot smell it at all anymore. I do have a very sensitive nose, but if you are even more sensitive I just want to note this, just in case. A few small marks to the piece that did not come out with cleaning. There is a very slight discoloration to the underarms. A few VERY small pulls or runs to the fabric. Please see photos. Fabric does like to wrinkle, so hang it up as soon as you receive it.
All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment.
