1950s 1960s Vintage Lanz Original Black Velveteen and Red Floral Dress - Xs to Sm
Lovely and simple. The simple velveteen bodice is so gorgeous and when you turn around, you have a lovely scooping back. The bright red rose patterned fabric on the skirt (I believe damask as its a reversible patterned fabric- see bright red inside hem photo!) really offsets the piece well. The garment both button and snap closes up the back. Label for Lanz original and tag says vintage size 11. The would best fit a modern Extra Small or possibly a Small. The Model is modern size 4/6 for reference and was unable to snap it closed.

Hips: relatively free, but up to about 42 inches to maintain pleating look
Length: 39 inches
Good vintage condition - Overall wear to piece. There is some loose threads and tiny pulls or wear spots to the fabric here and there, but none of it seems to affect wearability. Some wear to the velvet bow, especially some minor fraying to the ends. Buttons also have minor wear. The black of the velvet does not match the black of the skirt. BUT this is NOT a flaw, just how the two fabrics are (one is velveteen, the other damask - i.e fabric patterned on both sides). The damask fabric actually has a hint of green to it because of the threaded pattern. Some minor discoloration and wear to interior lining.
