A lovely woolen vintage pencil style skirt - simple and elegant. A great staple piece for any vintage wardrobe. Plus, it has a pocket! The skirt is mostly a mossy green color with hints of blue and grey throughout the plaid pattern. The fabric is wool. It is partially lined. Zips up the back side with an abnormally long metal zipper, but this actually creates a fun and unique asymmetrical pleated affect in the back. Also has additional hooks on the side of the waist and the original belt. Label is for Sportempos and has a union tag. Marked a vintage size 16. It would likely best fit a modern Medium. Model is a modern size 4/6 and dress form is a modern medium for reference.

Belt: about 26.5 - 29 inches, depending on the belt hole used
Good vintage condition - Some overall wear to the piece. Some areas of faint marks. Some of these I feel may be just the way the wool is dyed, but one is definitely a rust mark where a hook was - sadly this did not come out with cleaning, BUT it should also not be visible when belt is worn! There are some areas with more fuzzing or slight pulls. Some loose threads found as well as wear to the inner seam allotment, but this should not impact wear. Wear and marks to belt, but functions. The button is old and worn, exhibiting some very slight cracking when looked at very closely, but it still seems to function fine! Some writing on the inside lining.
