1950s Vintage Grey Toned Dress with Rhinestones and Pockets - Sm to Md
What a stunning dress in a lovely grey color. The 1950s silhouette with the elegant but functional pockets is my dream dress! Easy to dress up or down with the embedded rhinestone! Zips up the side with a metal zipper. Feels like a softer almost chambray like fabric, but possibly a wool cotton blend. It would likely best fit between a modern Small to Medium, so please see measurements. Model is modern size 4/6 for reference and it felt a tad too large for her, especially in the chest.
Measurements:
Bust: 35 from flat lay, but 36 inches pulled taught to account for dating (model is 34b for reference and it felt large)
Waist: 27 inches
Hips: up to 38 inches
Length: 44.5 inches from top of shoulder, down
Good to Fair vintage condition - Some overall wear so leans more toward fair in my opinion, but it still seems wearable! There are a number of small holes, some repairs and a faint marks and some stains found that did not come out with cleaning. There is also some discoloration to piece, especially at the underarm, but it is present throughout. You can see two places where the rhinestones have bene removed when you look very closely, but it is symmetrical - meaning its at the same place on both sides of the dress. Zipper works but gets “sticky” sometimes, so needs a good pull. Wear to inner seam allotments. Belt loop but no belt. Sold as is - still very wearable and beautiful, but because of all the issues is likely more “fair condition”. Would make great costume or study or rework piece!
All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
