1950s Vintage Black Taffeta Party Cocktail Skirt with Pearl Embellished Large Pocket - XS
Black taffeta skirts are a great staple to have in your vintage wardrobe - but this one takes the cake! The large pocket is shaped like a shield and it features the most beautiful faux-pearl detailing! The pocket is actually sizable enough to even fit your smart phone - which is almost unheard of in vintage or even modern clothing! The skirt also has a lovely detail at the waist - really accentuating the waistline. The skirt both buttons and zips up the side. Feels like a taffeta and has no give. No tag to indicate maker, it looks like there was a tag that was ripped out at one point. It would likely best fit a modern Extra Small. The Model is modern size 4/6 for reference and she could not button it at the waist. Model is wearing it without a crinoline, but if you would like more volume it can always be worn with one!

Good vintage condition - Overall wear to garment. There looks to have been a more recent mend to a seam - you can tell by flocking on the inside. All the pearl rivets look to be intact, however there is some very minor bending to the metal on some. A few loose threads that do not seem to impact wear. Some marks, most teeny pinhole sized spots and pinhole sized holes here and there as well as areas of wear to the fabric (especially at the waist). Near the base of the zipper it looks like a frayed bit of fabric and small rip as though the zipper has gotten caught in it at some point. There are some fabric creases throughout. The fabric does like to wrinkle so please hang this up as soon as you receive the item.
