1950s Vintage L.L.Berger Light Brown Fitted Brushed Silky Blazer XL/1X to 2X
A lovely 1950s blazer with the cutest faux pocket detailing! The light weight fabric makes this a great piece for most any time of the year as you can easily layer it with a blouse underneath. Fabric feels like a silk, possibly a silk blend and it is not lined. Buttons up the front. Label is for L.L.Berger. It would likely best fit a modern Extra Large or 1X, possibly a 2x, though its likely meant to be worn with a blouse underneath as well so PLEASE see measurements below & in photos. For reference dress form is modern Medium.

Measurements :
Bust: 46 inches, possibly up to 48 inches when pulled taught to account for darting
Waist: just under 40 inches
Hem: 48 inches
Length: 25 inches from back of collar, down
Sleeve Length: 20 inches from top of shoulder, down
Good Vintage Condition - Some overall wear to the piece. There are a few areas with faint discoloration and marks that unfortunately did not come out with dry cleaning. There are slight shadows of discoloration found underneath the buttons - not noticeable when buttoned. Slight wear to buttons too. Some areas with pulls or wear spots found as well, though thankfully the brushed effect of the fabric really does a good job masking this. There was one small pull that sort of morphed into a small hole at the hems edge (see last photo). Some wear to inner seam allotments. The interior shoulder pads and underarm protective pads show some wear. The underarm pads specifically are stiff and discolored with age and I would HIGHLY recommend replacing them. I have left them in simply to demonstrate to you how they are stitched in/ how they work within a garment. Again I highly recommend you replace them instead of just cut them out as these are really great features to protect your garments!
All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
