1950s Vintage "Lovette" Black and Blue Hostess Shirtwaist Dress with Pockets Square- XL
Front button dresses are the best! This lovely early 1950s (possibly late 40s) vintage dress is predominately black in color, but features blue throughout - including a matching blue pocket square! The fabric has a fun waffle-like texture and feels like a rayon or possibly a rayon blend (there are no content tags!). The dress buttons up the front and has the original belt. There are shoulder pads but they look like they could easily be removed. Label is for “Original Lovette”. It would likely best fit a modern Extra Large, but please see measurements! For reference model is modern size 4/6 and dress form is a modern Medium.

Good vintage condition - Some overall wear. There are areas where the waffle texture is not as prominent as others (like the underarms). There is some wear to the fabric of the belt as well as the pocket square too, with some pinholes and pulls as the scarf fabric is VERY thin and delicate silk. There are a few loose threads and wear to the buttons and the seam allotments of the dress. Wear to tag.
