1950s Vintage Pat Perkins New Old Stock Black Dress with Red Polkadot Scarf - XL
A lovely simple and chic vintage black dress featuring a cute attached red scarf and pockets! The fabric is labeled an acetate and rayon blend. The dress zips up the side with a metal zipper. At the neck, there is a small panel or flap of fabric you can snap on for a more modest look at the bust, but you can also leave it unsnapped and it would just form a normal “v” neck. The red scarf is attached - I wasn’t really sure how to tie it (apologies, scarves just aren’t my forte). It has the original store tags and is labeled for Pat Perkins. Tagged a vintage size 16.5. It would likely best fit a modern Extra Large, but please see measurements! Model is modern size 4/6 for reference (it was pinned to her in some photos) and dress form is a modern Medium (it was not pinned to the dress form).

Good to Fair vintage condition - While it is dead stock or new old stock with tags, storage from prior owner has left this with some overall wear to the dress. The biggest issue I noted that would lean more towards fair, is the white painted polkadots on the scarf portion are flaking off - sometimes leaving some white residue around it, which is a bummer. There are belt loops, but the original belt is missing. Some wear to the tags. Some wear to the internal seam allotments, but to be expected. You can see the stitching at the sleeves and hem - which is just part of the way it was made. A few small marks that did not come out with cleaning. Some loose threads that do not seem to impact wearability. To me it smells of washed rayon - but no one else in my household could smell it, not that big of a deal for type of smell either but I just want to be transparent if you have a bloodhound nose like me. Fabric likes to wrinkle so hang it up as soon as you receive package!
