1950s Vintage Rite Fit Blue-Grey Chambray Front Button Day Dress with Pockets - XL to 1X

This stunning blue summer dress is a lighter blue color, with an almost denim sort of look to it (in some lighting it has a slight grey and almost iridescent tone to it). While it may look like a sort of denim, the fabric IS NOT denim, but feels more like a cotton chambray and is a lighter weight making it great for summer heat! If you hold it up to the window the fabric the fabric is somewhat see through, so you may want to wear a slip underneath. The dress features lovely detailing on the collar with a few rhinestones, which really elevate the piece allowing it to be an easy transitional piece from day to night! It buttons in the front with large white buttons. Label says “Rite Fit” and “half size dresses” but I could not find a size tag. It would likely best fit a modern Extra Large or 1X, but please see measurements. Dress form is modern Medium for reference.

Good vintage condition- Overall expected wear to piece. There are a few loose threads here and there. I noticed that white threads were used a lot in the sewing of the garment, you can see these peaking out here and there but they do not seem to impact the wear at all. Some minor wear to the buttons and button holes. A few areas - especially in the front of the dress - of marks that did not come out after repeated cleanings. These were somewhat hard to capture with the camera, but I tired my best. Not a flaw, but is just how it was made - you can see the stitching for the sleeve edge. Some small wear spots to the fabric in places.
