A lovely vintage 1950s knit sweater for the collector. The bright red pairs so perfectly with the red pearlescent buttons. And the pattern they used created a lovely texture to the knit. The sweater buttons up the front and features dolman style sleeves. The label is for Toby Berman, but there is no size tag. Labeled as virgin wool. Would likely best fit a modern Small to possibly a Medium, given the stretching capabilities of the knit AND how you like your sweaters to fit. For reference model is modern women’s size 4/6 and the dress form is a modern Medium. Please see measurement - though remember there is a bit of give to the fabric.

Bust: 36 inches (these are dolmans sleeves) Model is a 34 B for reference.
Hem: 23 inches (there is give here too)
Length: 22 inches
Sleeve Length: about 15 inches when not cuffed (no shoulder seam to measure from)
Good vintage condition - Some overall wear to the sweater. Some areas of fuzzing. I only found one small faint mark and slight discoloration on the inside of the fabric for the backing of the buttons. Some loose threads. Wear to buttons and the button holes. Wear and discoloration to tag. The back wool near the hem is stretched a slight bit (see last photo). This isn’t obvious when worn, just when its at rest and not stretched.
