1960s 1970s Jerry Marsch Orange Mardi Gras Silky Formal Dress or Evening Gown - Sm

$139.00

Wow! This stunning orange gown is so unique and a great option for Fall! The keyhole on the bodice is so elegant with the higher neck. Gorgeous column style silhouette, with slit on the left side and long, dolman style sleeve. Zips up the back with metal zipper. Tag says Jerry Marsch for Mardi Gras and also includes a dry clean only tag. Would likely best fit modern size small, but please see measurements. Model is modern size 4/6 with 34B chest for reference - the piece is a bit large for her in the chest as you can see, but given the sleeve style I wouldn’t say thats necessarily a bad thing.

Measurements:

Bust - from flat lay image, about 32 inches, but the sleeves are in a dolman style so measured lower and there is some gathering not accounted for in the flat lay image so it does distort this measurement somewhat! Pulling it taught, I believe it could accommodate about a 36 inch bust - for reference again model is a 34b!!

Waist - 27.5 inches

Hips - 38 inches

Sleeve Length - about 22 inches - given they are dolman style sleeves, there is no seam to measure from.

Total Length - 58 inches, from back of neck, down.

Good vintage condition : Overall wear to the gown. Some slight pulls and worn spots. There are a few loose threads and slight wear to the inner seam allotments that don’t seem to impact wear. Some spots and discoloration found throughout the piece that did not come out with dry cleaning - this is most obvious to my eye at the tops of the shoulders, the inside collar, and the hem. There are also faint markings at underarms INSIDE the garment as well.

All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
