1960s 1970s Vintage Clear Lucite Heels with Gold and White Detailing and Golden Ribbon WOUNDED- Size 4
These incredible 1960s or possibly early 1970s shoes are just so unique! They would make for a very fun reference or display item! They feature a lovely clear heel (likely lucite) with clear plastic for the body of the shoe. There is additional white and gold detailing on the shoe for added pizzaz! I particularly love the golden ribbon that is meant to wrap and tie around ones ankle/lower leg. These shoes are labeled size "4" on the soles. Heels are about 3 inches high and about 9.25 inches long from end of toes to heel. They measure about 3 inches across at the balls of the feet. See photos for measurements also. Label is for Augier.
FREE SHIPPING!
Fair vintage condition - There is some overall wear to the shoes. They may possibly be wearable, but if attempted I would recommend extreme care and perhaps best for minimal walking (like lounging around). I do think they would still make good reference material or great display pieces though! There are numerous marks, spots, and scuffs and scratches found to the pieces. There is also some discoloration to the clear plastic - a slight yellow tint to it. There are a few areas of more notable wear to the clear plastic, but the most obvious and why I question if these can be worn, is the back of the right shoe has a rip in the plastic (see last photo). There are also some small micro fissures in the heels, as expected with this material, but it is worth noting. Wear to the soles as well, top and bottoms, and wear to the heel caps. I did all I could to clean these, but it was very difficult to get in right at the edges between the clear plastic and the soles! There is some slight lifting to a few of the applique pieces. Some wear to the ribbon. Again sold as is. Please note that the clear plastic uppers does like to bend in on itself, especially at the back of the heel.
Wearing vintage shoes is so much fun as you can never find shoes like these now days, BUT please take note that this also causes wear and damage. As such vintage shoes will ALWAYS need constant maintenance (glue, re-sole, etc.) from a professional cobbler to keep them in working order.
All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
