1960s Vintage Belk Turquoise Blue Chiffon Silk Pill Box Style Hat
This lovely turquoise blue hat features a beautiful back bow. The fabric feels like a light weight silk chiffon and is expertly folded across the entirety of the hat to create a gorgeous and unique pleated look. Hat does feature mini hair combs within the piece so as to secure it easily to ones head. Label is for Belk - a long standing department store in Charlotte, NC. The piece is meant to fit atop the head, like is shown on model. Please see measurements though if you have concerns.

Circumference : about 19.25 inches, but I think its meant to sit more on the back of your head (see model)
Height: about 2.5 inches
Good vintage condition - This hat does have some overall wear, but it presents beautifully. There are a few pleats to the chiffon that don’t want to hold their place, but the majority is in good shape. The piece does show some discoloration/ yellowing especially around the rim and even more obviously on the inside rim. Some discoloration/color fade also found on interior lining. One small pinhole found. When held up close, this piece does smell of old cedar and must to me - though I am very sensitive to smells. I tired everything to clean and air this out and it has helped, but not eliminated the smell fully. There is some very minor bumps and divots to the hard structure of the piece, but the fabric overlay does seem to mask this for the most part.
