1960s Vintage Haroú Inc. for Bullucks Wilshire Floral Black Burnout Velvet Cowl Neck Evening Dress or Formal Gown - Sm to Md
An absolutely stunning evening gown. The silhouette is very reminiscent of ancient statues with its column-like structure and cowl-like neckline. Of course the plush burnout velvet gives a lovely romantic look as well with the prettiest floral design. There is even a side slit to make movement easier! The dress zips up the side with a Taylon zipper. There are two labels, one for Bullocks Wilshire and the other for Haroú INC - both date to the 60s. It would likely best fit between a modern Small to Medium, but please see measurements! Model is modern size 4/6 for reference.

Bust: 38 inches please note it is a cowl style look with weights sewn inside the front (pictured) to give it the desired effect. Just for reference model is 34B and I do think it worked on her frame, but it did feel a bit loose, especially when bending over.
Waist: 26 inches
Hips: 38 inches
Length: 58 inches (measured from top of shoulder, straight down)
Good vintage condition - Some overall wear to the dress. There are some faint and small marks to the dress that did not come out with either spot treatment or dry cleaning. These were also really difficult to capture with the camera, though I tried my best. Some slight wear and crushing to the velvet in places. There are a few very small pulls and wear seen to the chiffon portion of the fabric too. The underarms and inside lining do show some discoloration - to my eye though this is really only noticeable on the interior of the garment!
