1960s Vintage Meacham’s Branell Bright Green Spring Sheath Dress & Jacket set with Pockets - XS to Sm
Vibrant green for Spring!!!! The sleeveless dress is great for those warmer days and the jacket can help keep you warm on those brisk Spring nights! The structure of the dress is truly incredible - with interesting attention to detail for the bust, especially around the arms as well as the gathering at the skirt waist. And the matching belt really ties the whole thing together! Dress zips up the back with a Taylon zipper and jacket buttons, snaps, and hooks in the front. There are small pockets on both the dress and the jacket!!! Fabric feels like a linen-silk blend, it has a lovely brushed look. Both pieces are lined too! Labels on jacket are for Meacham’s and Branell, none found in dress. The set would likely best fit a between a modern Extra Small and Small, but please see measurements below! Model is modern size 4/6 and it fit well everywhere, except waist was a bit tight for reference.

Belt: about 25-27 inches, depending on hole used
Jacket Measurements :

Length: 20 inches (from back of collar, down)
Sleeve Length: about 14 inches (no shoulder seam to measure from)
Fair vintage condition - Presents and photographs beautifully overall and I think its still wearable. The most notable issue is the discoloration and color fade, especially that at the underarms of the exterior of the dress and the internal lining of both pieces. Interestingly the way the dress is constructed, this particular issue is not as glaringly obvious as one might think when the dress is worn, unless your arms are up in my opinion. I have tired my best to capture the discoloration as well as how the dress is constructed in the images. There are other areas of discoloration and markings also found throughout both pieces, including (but not limited to) along the collars of both pieces, dress waist, on the jacket buttons, and along the shoulders of both pieces. Belt has seen better days - it has some wear and tear - the leather backing has ripped and has been repaired by someone in the past to some degree and there are some spots that didn’t come out. Likely a suitable piece for an over-dye, rework, or costume! Fabric likes to wrinkle, so hang this up as soon as you receive it!
