1960s Vintage MOD Light Yellow Boucle Wool Blazer and Skirt Suit Set - XS
A lovely mid century (likely mid 60s) matching suit set! This lovely set features a long sleeve blazer for the top and a matching skirt. The color is a stunning light butter yellow. The boxy mod style skirt looks awesome with the double breasted look and the lovely additional detail of faux pockets. The top buttons in the front and skirt buttons and zips up the side with a metal zipper. The fabric feels like a wool and is lined in the jacket, but not fully lined in the skirt. I would highly recommend wearing a slip for the skirt portion as the weave is loose and as such, somewhat see through. Neither jacket nor skirt have any tags to indicate maker, so its possibly home made. Would likely best fit a modern Extra Small, but please see measurements. The dress form is modern size XS for reference.
Please note that no matter what I tried, the up close images did weird stuff with the color of the pieces - to my eye the color looks much more like the color in the dress form and flat lay images!

Measurements of Top - meant to fit a bit boxy as its 60s!
Bust: 35 inches
Waist: 31 inches
Hem: 33 inches
Length: 19 inches from back of collar, down
Sleeve Length: 18 inches from top of shoulder, down
Measurements of Skirt:
Waist: 24 inches
Hips: 34 inches
Length: 24 inches
Good vintage condition - Overall wear to the two pieces. There are some areas with slightly more fuzzing than others, but thankfully the boucle masks this. Some slight discoloration and marks to a few areas that did not come out with cleaning. The most obvious to me though was the inside lining of the underarms. A few loose threads and very small wear spots and pulls. A few areas where it looks like there may have once been teeny holes in the weave, but they appear to have been repaired. Wear to seam allotments of skirt.
All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
