1960s Vintage Pringle Cream & Pale Green Cashmere Knit Dress - Md to Lg
A lovely spring cashmere knit. The loosely knit light cream colored top and attached light green skirt is a great combination. Chic and simple. Label is for “Pringle”, but there are other tags present too. This is a pull over dress that tightens at the waist with the draw string. The dress would likely best fit a modern Medium or possibly a Large, depending on how or if you like it bloused. For reference, the model is modern size 4/6 and dress form is a modern Medium. There is some give to the knit. Please note the cream portion is very loosely knit and you can see the skin beneath, model is wearing a tank top underneath - you may or may not want to as well!

Hips: 38 inches (not stretched)

Good to Fair vintage condition - Presents beautifully but there are a number of smaller issues that add up to a “fair” designation. The length looks to be ever so slightly longer in one portion of the skirt and the hem is well, not folded in and hemmed - though I am not sure it ever was meant to be. There are a number of holes throughout the green portion that were mended in the past at some point. A few un-mended pinholes still seen on the draw string. There are also a number of faint marks to the dress as well that did not come out with cleaning - these were very hard to capture with the camera, but the most obvious ones are near the largest mended hole. A few loose threads that do not seem to impact wear. May be best for costume or study.
