1960s Vintage Rusty Brown And Cream Abstract Print Peter Pan Collar Cocktail Dress - Lg to Xl

$89.00

WOW! The color combination coupled with the abstract midcentury pattern is absolutely phenomenal! The warm autumn tones - rusty brown, cream, and even some hints of pink in it - will surely make this a great option for Fall! Buttons in the front at the bodice, but also has a Talon zipper at the side so it is still a pull over piece. There is no label, likely homemade. The piece does have cotton underarm guards on the interior - if you chose, you can easily remove them. Fabric feels like a light weight rayon taffeta, though I am not completely sure about this as there is no content tag. Would likely best fit a modern Large, given it is a pull over. But may possibly accommodate an Extra Large. Again it is a pull over piece so PLEASE see measurements. For reference dress form is a modern medium.

Measurements :

  • Bust: 40 inches

  • Waist: 32 inches

  • Hips: 46 inches

  • Length: 40 inches (from back of collar, down)

  • Sleeve Length: 11 inches (from shoulder down)

Good vintage condition - Some overall wear to the dress. The most obvious flaw to my eye is at the sleeve where there are apparent lines from when it was originally made - when the fabric for the pattern was cut. I did everything to try to remove them but had no luck (priced for this). There are also a few areas where some minor mends have occurred. Some color fade noted, most obvious when you hold up the edges (like hems and sleeves) to the middle of the dress- so when it’s worn it shouldn’t be too apparent. Some slight pulls and loose threads to the piece but this should not affect wear at all.

All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
