A lovely vintage cotton day dress. This blue dress would be great for summertime! It has a lovely red and white trim detail. The dress features sizable pockets too! The piece is a wrap dress but it buttons in the back (see photo). The fabric is labeled 100% cotton and while it looks like denim it is lighter weight and is more likely a Chambray. Label says Sunny Vale and vintage size 14.5. This label seems to be from Sunny Vale Inc. which produced the Pat Perkins line. Similar dresses date to the 1960s but have the Pat Perkins label instead. This dress would likely best fit a modern Medium, possibly a Large but please see measurements. Model is a modern 4/6 and dress form is modern Medium for reference.

Measurements :
Bust: 38 inches from flatly, but taking the pleating into account it could likely accommodate up to 40 inches pulled taught.
Waist: 31 inches
Hips: up to 52 inches
Length: 42 inches from shoulder, down
Sleeve Length: 9 inches
Good vintage condition- Overall expected wear to piece. There are some loose threads that do not seem to impact wear. Most of this is found inside the garment at the inner seam allotments - where there is some wear. There are a few small spots found that did not come out with cleaning, including slight discoloration on the top shoulder where the white cord is. Not a flaw, but you can see some of the hand stitching.
Given that it is a wrap, I think the size could be adjusted slightly by simply moving the buttons for the closure in back if need be. I would not make dramatic alterations this way though!
All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment. If you need more information about my measurements and vintage sizing please refer to my FAQs section under my Shop Policies page and ask me, I am here to help!!
