1960s Vintage Yellow Flower Chiffon Maxi Dress - XS to S
Flower Power! This 60’s dress is everything summer. A perfect blend of Featherington Regency or just Cottage Core/Hippie Vibes - it truly deserves a fantastic photoshoot! The floral patterned “chiffon” (possibly nylon?) overlays the built in slip. The addition of the yellow satin waist band and bows finishes off the look perfectly! The dress zips up the back with a metal zipper, which is well hidden with the additional hook and eye closures on the waistband. While there are not tags, I have seen this pattern fabric once before with a tag - so it is probably not homemade! Best fits extra small to small. Model is modern size 4/6 for reference and it fit but was a bit tight in the chest.

Measurements :
Bust: 33 inches but some room for cup size so could accommodate likely 34A ; model is 34b for reference and it fit snuggly.
(Slightly higher than natural) Waist: 26 inches /27 tight (measured at the bottom of the yellow band)
Hips: about 38 inches (this is measuring the inner lining!)
Length: 56.5 inches
Good Vintage Condition- Overall wear. On the hem of the overlay there is one small rip found. There are some small pulls to the exterior overlay as well as evidence of stitching at the straps, likely to make them shorter at some point in the past. There is some discoloration and markings to the piece, some of which are on the exterior of the dress like the little bows in back. However the discoloration markings/spots are most notable on the inner lining, including at the underarms. Unfortunately while cleaning helped this, it didn’t come out fully. Luckily however, this does not seem visible to my eye with the chiffon overlay. The inner lining seam allotments do exhibit wear. Some loose threads that should not impact wear as well.
