1970s Vintage Blue Orange and White Paisley Print Front Zip House Dress with Pockets- Lg to XL

$89.00

A lovely vintage dress with the prettiest colors for Fall. The orange and blue tones in the pretty paisley-like print is very reminiscent of 1970s Block Print Indian Cotton dresses, though there is no label to indicate for certain an exact age or location from which this piece came. I just love how effortless this piece looks, plus it has pockets! It was likely originally intended to be a house dress or loungewear, but I think you could easily wear this out now days. The piece zips up the front. Fabric feels like cotton. It seems to be somewhat accommodating in size, but would still likely best fit a modern Large to possibly Extra Large, though please note it is a house dress so it was originally meant to be comfortable and loose. Please see measurements. For reference model is modern size 4/6.

Measurements:

Bust : 41 inches

Waist: 40.5 inches

Hips: 43 inches

Total Length: 42.5 inches (from back of collar, down)

Sleeve Length: about 10.5 inches - there is no shoulder seam to measure from

Good Vintage Condition - Some overall wear to the piece. There are a few loose threads here and there as well as some wear to the inner seam allotments, but none of this seems to impact wear at all. There are a few very small wear spots to the fabric as well as one mend spot on the back of the collar and one teeny hole (more of a worn spot) near the top of the zipper. A few faint marks. Most of the marks are actually inconsistencies with the dye process when it was printed on the fabric, some areas are darker, some have some slight dye bleed or spots where I don’t think the orange was intended to be, and some places where a bit of dye is missing, but again this is from when it was printed on and I think is part of the beauty with this style fabric!

All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment.
