Wow! An absolutely stunning and unique little mini roller skater dress- I found it within a collection of 1940s roller skating costumes!!! The creamy or off white mini dress features a flared skirt and zips up the front. I love the touch of flutter to the sleeves. It was originally intended to be worn with cute ruffled shorts underneath - unfortunately the shorts that came with it were in absolute terrible shape and will not be sold. This dress appears to be handmade or at least hand altered possibly from another dress (?)- though of course it was made well. There are no labels, but it does have a metal Talon front zipper. Fabric feels like a possibly rayon-nylon blend and has an ever so slight sheen to it when examined closely. I would like to say that I am not 100% certain of this fabric, it is soft and feels nice to the touch, but this is one fabric NO ONE has ever been able to tell me what it is - I have now 3 pieces with this fabric and I have only EVER seen it in 1940s garments and always in this off white color. Skirt portion is lined. Would likely best fit a modern Medium. For reference model is modern size 4/6 and it felt a bit loose.

Measurements :
Bust: 37 inches from flat lay, about 38 inches pulled taught
Waist: 30 inches
Hips: up to 44 inches
Length: 30.5 inches from back of neck, down
Sleeve Length: about 4 inches
Good vintage condition - Some overall wear to garment but presents beautifully and is still wearable. There are numerous areas of small pull, snags, pinholes, and just general wear to the fabric. The fabric exhibits some slight discoloration/yellowing, especially on the interior and at the shoulders. There are also some marks and spots that did not come out with cleaning throughout the dress, though thankfully they do not seem too obvious from afar. Some wear to the inner seam allotments as well as some wear to the inner lining of the skirt portion with some small holes to the lining itself. The lining also does seem to peek out a teeny bit in places. Slight wear to zipper - paint is chipping off but it still functions. Some areas where there is a slightly more obvious sheen to the fabric - I would think this is likely from prior pressings. Hem is slightly longer in back - appears to have been sewn that way intentionally. Fabric does like to wrinkle, so hang it up as soon as you receive the garment!
All measurements are approximate as they are taken flat - for garments specifically this means where applicable (bust, waist, hips) has been doubled unless stated otherwise. If you are uncertain about fit and/or need more measurements please ask! If it is provided in the listing, models and/or dress form sizes are used as a point of reference only. Please remember that all bodies are different so always defer to the measurements I provide and check them against your own, preferably on a similar style garment.
